Ep 86: Finding Freedom in Letting Go w/ Charese Josie
In this episode, I’m joined again by Charese Josie, a licensed clinical social worker and founder of CJ Counseling and Consulting Services. Charese’s work has been featured on *The TODAY Show, ESSENCE, Cosmopolitan, The Washington Post, SHAPE, and NPR, and she’s also the author of “Two Witty Girls,” a book exploring leadership through a child's eyes.
Charese shares how becoming a mother to two girls led her to examine something she hadn’t expected - what a healthy mother-daughter and sister-sister relationship could look like. While thriving in her career, this personal journey opened an entirely new dimension of self-discovery. She reflects on the lessons she’s learned, including the power of grace, gratitude, and releasing control.
Together, we explore practical ways to connect with ourselves when life feels overwhelming, the role of breath awareness and affirmations, and how shifting our perspective can lead to a greater sense of freedom.
